This Do
This
Do:
We,
as children of God are no longer our own. We have been bought with a
price. We are now suited for and must serve God before all things in
the life He has invested in us. It should not seem burdensome.
Service to our Lord is a pleasure if we Love him. We know we love Him
if we love our brothers and sisters. He said that if we loved Him we
would keep His commandments. His Word is His commandments. A few will
be listed here:
- Philippians 4:8
- “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Don’t just let them pass through your mind ans wisp away in the fog of “doing”. These are attributes of the children of our Lord. Wehe we receive the fruit of the Holy Spirit and apply them to our interactions, we will be walking in the will of God. We find in:
- Ephesians 5:9 “(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Getting
God’s blessings is as simple as living His way. We will be blessed
Deuteronomy 28:4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Slipping away from strict obedience to God;s “love law” will bring disaster. Jeremiah 5:25 “Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.”
Luke 8:15 “But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.”

Luke 8:15 “But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.”
Having
lived and prospered in the Lord, one cannot take on the attitude that
all things are his and his alone. 1
John 3:17 “But
whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and
shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love
of God in him?” Matthew
5:13 “Ye
are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour,
wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but
to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.”
We
Christians must always remember where our blessings flow. James
1:17 “Every
good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from
the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of
turning.” Know
God, know peace. Amen 10-28-19 BLL
