Lesson 6 of 10 Another's Sin

Lesson Number 6 of 10 On why You Don’t Feel Blessed

6. Sins of Another

God’s word has several references to management of financial income and accumulation of money. First, tithing of ten percent minimum. Then render unto Cesar what is Cesar’s, neither borrow or lend, don’t be a hoarder, save for the future, etc. If you’re being prayerfully responsible and obedient with your finances and yet feel God is not blessing you like He should, financially, you might want to consider others who share in your financial plan. Check on the behavior and spending habits of anyone else authorized to transact financial activities with your blessings. God doesn’t punish us for the sins of others, but we sometimes share the consequences of sin or irresponsibility from those who are closely connected to us. Misplaced trust or misunderstood authority can lead to financial hardship not associated with God’s blessings. Trusted finance custodians are not always honest. Often embezzlement will short circuit your money accounts.
God’s word (bible) puts us on notice concerning the consequences of unhealthy associations. For instance, Proverbs 22:24-25 warns: “Do not make friends with a hot-tempered person, do not associate with one easily angered, or you may learn their ways and get yourself ensnared.” Psalm 101:6-7 is a good example to us to pray for integrity in all our dealings: “My eyes will be on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; the one whose walk is blameless will minister to me. No one who practices deceit will dwell in my house; no one who speaks falsely will stand in my presence
2 Kings 23:35 And Jehoiakim gave the silver and the gold to Pharaoh; but he taxed the land to give the money according to the commandment of Pharaoh: he exacted the silver and the gold of the people of the land, of every one according to his taxation, to give it unto Pharaohnechoh.

Acts 8:20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.
Matthew 25:18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
Matthew 25:27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

You might do everything right and still miss out on God’s blessings. Because of embezzlement of student loan money by a vice president at the Bank of Wacova, I was forced to pay my loan twice. The sin was his but the loss was mine. God blessed me with the money but this trusted man of authority snatched it away. Know God, know peace. Amen 10-23-19 BLL
