Hills of Glory Revelation 21:4 King James Version (KJV) 4  And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.   One of the songs requested at a service sometime back was unknown to me, requiring that I research and hopefully find it for the individual requesting it. This was important to me, because of the adamant way in which the request was made, and the fact that this particular individual participated in each and every   service from the outset of the particular ministry in which I was, and am involved. It has since become one that holds and shall continue to hold special prominence in my repertoire, and in my life itself, speaking to the often unseen pain that causes many to doubt, causes so many others to seek relief that is not to be found in the places that relief is sought, but that is available only

Beulah Land   John 14:1-4 14 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2  In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 4  And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.   The title today comes from yet another beloved hymn heard regularly, rendered by many in expectation of that world not made by hands of men, obtainable only through faith, and the grace that permits that faith, given us by God through His only begotten Son, Whose promise was and is delivered by virtue of the sacrifice he made for those willing to have that faith, uncompromising until the time of its delivery. Each time I hear this particular hymn, I cannot help but picture the middle aged singer I first heard sing it, the beautif

Showers of Blessing 15  And the angel of the Lord called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, 16  And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the Lord, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: 17  That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; 18  And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice. (Genesis 22:15-18) Blessings are sought by most, and claimed by many, most choosing to perceive blessings through the eyes of mankind, rather than through the eyes of God. Today’s title comes once again from the old hymnbook filled with praise and supplication to our Lord. Written by El Nathan and James McGranahan at some point prior, it was copyrighted and renewed in 1912 by Mrs. Audie

Will the Circle be Unbroken   Luke 14:25-27 King James Version (KJV) 25  And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them, 26  If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. 27  And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. One of the most popular songs in the lexicon of gospel, bluegrass, country, and other styles of music, truly a “crossover” that defies classification, sung in churches, performed in concerts throughout the years of my life, and continues In popularity with many despite the changes to all those musical venues is the song used as a title for today’s dissertation. It is both sad, and comforting; wistful, and wish fulfilling; to the minds of those who have experienced loss of loved ones, those expecting the coming loss of those loved ones, and thos
