I Believe

I Believe Each of you readers from the era of Elvis Presley when he was at the height of his popularity probably remember the words from a song that he sung concerning believing. “Every time I hear a new born baby’s cry, or touch a leaf or see the sky, then I know why I believe.” There are many belief bringers displayed around us. God is real and His creation produces more proof than anyone who considers it intently needs to believe there is a God. Thus the Word of God can be believed to be certainly true. All the letters written in red represent the very words breathed by Jesus as He walked this earth and taught so many years ago. Every time I kneel to Pray and feel the power of the Holy Spirit fill me with His fruit, I know why I believe. ( Ephesians 5:9 “For the fruit of the Spirit  is  in all goodness and righteousness and truth;”) There is a great comfort in times of trouble and sickness in knowing it is God in which you can believe and reach out to for deliverance.

The River

The River From atop the Big Ridge in Scot t and Hancock Counties of Virginia one can see miles of the glittering Clinch River. In places it is calm, c lear and glistening. In other places it flows over rocky ledges where it boils, tumbles and foams. These rough spots are called rapids. People who travel the river by canoe or kayak, find these rapids a real challenge. Often they overturn and disrupt the journey. Still those who practice the art, return again and again despite the danger. As for me, I prefer still, calm waters. Life resembles the meandering of such a river. The difference, God can smooth the rapids in life for those who know him and call upon His name. Writers use water to relate the benefit and changing of life in turmoil. Job 28: 9 “  He putteth forth his hand upon the rock; he overturneth the mountains by the roots.  10 He [God] cutteth out rivers among the rocks; and his eye seeth every precious thing.   11 He bindeth the floods from overflowing; and

Infusion

Infusion Some of God’s created people suffer from cancer in the bones. Cancer, treatment methods and medicine often decrease bone density. There is a chemical process called infusion that is designed to increase bone density. Without that treatment bones break with the slightest pressure. Even dental work that traumatizes the jaw bone has to be avoided to prevent breaking of the jaw bone. Monthly treatments are scheduled to keep the patent moving and out of a wheelchair or bed. It is not wise to skip a single treatment. So it is with God’s treatments with the Holy Spirit. Psalms 6:2  “ Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed.” Judges 16:17  “ That he (Sampson) told her all his heart, and said unto her, There hath not come a razor upon mine head; for I have been a Nazarite unto God from my mother's womb: if I be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man.” 1 Corint

The Near Dead

The Near Dead There is a television series that’s become the rave among many people. Some Christians will rush services in order to arrive home in time to watch the “near dead” wander about dragging their feet, eating the living and dropping body parts as they go. Its referred to as the “living dead, Zombies, Back from the dead,” etc. It is no better or worse than any other production as being suitable for “all audiences.” Movies and television productions that Christians can view without being offended is the weather report. I truly believe that no Christian would consider being “near dead” as reality. Why then is there such an addiction to such non truths? Entertainment, relaxing, educational… none of these or any other benefit qualifies as a product of time spent impacted in this unbelievable product of someones creative imagination. If one feels compelled to invest God’s time in fantasies, they should not do it in movie land. There are the living, the dead and the near

Temperature

Temperature With the Corona Virus on the rampage and being long in duration, the first check front-line wellness workers make for its presence is body temperature. All warm blooded animals have a body temperature, set by God, that remains constant unless some malfunction in or to the body causes it to rise or fall.   Typically anything in the range of  ( 97* to 99* F )  is considered normal, but there are times when a perfectly healthy person might have a body temperature that’s slightly higher or slightly lower than that. “Normal” temperature (normothermia) is the typical temperature range. But, i t depends on gender, age, time of day, exertion level, or health status. Body temperature is kept in normal range by thermoregulation, in which adjustment of temperature is triggered by the central nervous system. H ypothermia occurs when your body loses heat faster than it can produce it and causes a dangerously low body temperature. In spi
