It is Written

It Is Written

I knew a rich man. He owned untold acres of land. Some of it joined a poor boys worthless little plot of hillside. Desiring to add a little level land to his plot, the poor boy approached the rich man to buy an acre of his land. The rich man replied, “just fence off what you want.” No price was ask and no conditions stated. “Just take what you want; its just land. We can’t take it with us when we go.” Negotiations concerning a written legal paper led to the measuring, staking off and writing of a deed Both went to a notary and signed the deed. It was written, so it was. A check delivered to the rich man, over his refusal, was placed on his table. He would later tell neighbors that that was the first man he had met that you couldn’t give a gift.” Any issues concerning the poor boys little care could be answered with, it is written, go to the book.

Exodus 34:28And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.”
Deuteronomy 4:13 “And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.”

Matthew 4:2 And when he [Jesus] had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. 3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. 4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. 5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, 6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. 7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. 8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. 10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.” Know God, know peace. Amen. 01/16/21 BLL
