Forever

Forever

From the top of Mount Mitchell, Old Baldy, Roan Mountain and many other elevated positions local to our tri-city area, it seems you can see forever. Atop their majestic peaks, one can feel a closeness to God not experienced down in the valleys below. It is a matter of perception for those who choose to seek His face. One is no closer to heavens gates than when walking the valley floor but God is known for His appearing on the mountains. We ‘mountain folks’ will be forever grateful for those moments on the mountain peaks. ‘Flat lander’ folks can see about twenty miles before the curvature of the earth surface drops objects our of view. Nonetheless, God is there and they are no less or more God’s children than we mountaineers. God’s love endures forever and He is no respecter person.

Acts 10:34 “Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:”
Matthew 22:16 “Ye...teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men.”
Exodus 3:1 “Now Moses...led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.”
Romans 10:6 “...Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
Exodus 20:1
8And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: ...[20] And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not. 21 And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.”
Micah 4:1 “But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.”
1 Peter 1:22 “Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:”

Deuteronomy 7:6 “For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth. 7 The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:”

Know God, know peace. Amen. 01/15/21 BLL
