Burdens

Burdens

We have arrived to an era filled with many burden causing indispositions. Naturally COVID-19 is in the forefront. It is the feared and tormenting for most. It is not the only grief causing malady. We are witnessing the turmoil in high offices, diseases that kill indiscriminately. There are always new and foreboding health threats, one after another, back to back. Rumors of war applying deadly invented gases, germs or chemicals. We hear of dirty bombs and want to run to the mountain to hide. In the past we have dug holes of protection. Even now many have underground bunkers designed to prevent invasions and hold supplied to sustain life for twenty-five years. Yes, there are many burdens and many burdened. We who are stronger must console the weaker and bear each others burdens. Insomuch as possible, we must render aid to the suffering. However there are some burdens that we cannot bear for another. Death of a loved one is an example. Grief of this sort cannot be healed by acts of men. Burdens that we can share, we must share. Comfort insomuch as possible, those having burdens we cannot bare.

Galatians 6:2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. 3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. 4 But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. 5 For every man shall bear his own burden”
Isaiah 58:6 “Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? 7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? 8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward. 9 Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am.”
Matthew 8:17That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.”
Numbers 11:17And I will come down and talk with thee there: and I will take of the spirit which is upon thee, and will put it upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with thee, that thou bear it not thyself alone.”
Know God, Know peace. Amen. 01/21/2021 BLL
