The Way of life, and the Way of Death....the Wayfarer 2/28/18

T he Way of Life, and the Way of Death.  2/28/18 Jeremiah 21:8 King James Version (KJV) 8 And unto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death. God's demand for repentance, and the promise of redemption in return is found throughout the Old testament as well as the New. It is easily found, when proper regard to text is applied, within the WORD preached by each and all of the prophets sent to bring that message that included the Love of God that surpasses any concept of love that is ascertainable by mankind. All too often, those prophecies were not heeded, but were merely considered the message of negativity that none was willing to hear, rather than the positive message of redemption  to come IF heard and heeded by those to whom it was given. The "ear ticklers" that never mentioned any necessity for repentance, promising only continued prosperity remained popular, both to the p

Blood Stains

Blood Stains Isiah Chapter 1 15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood. 16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; 17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. S in is very hateful to God. If we allow ourselves in contentious secret sin, or forbidden indulgences; if we reject the salvation of Christ, our very prayers will become abomination. Wayward Christians are to no t only feel sorrow for the sin they are openly or secretly committ ing , but must cease practicing any and all sin. Such cold and indifferent pseudo-Christians will become stale and useless if they hunker in a shale and sin no more. Reformed. It is necessary to be up and doing damage control; not stand ing idle for fear someone might criticize their past. It is a MU

By this shall all men know...the Wayfarer 8/16/17

By this shall all men know 8/16/17 John 13:33-35 33 Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say to you. 34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. A commandment encompassing all previous commandments, a distillation, of all law and the reason behind all prophecy, a simple, unmistakable commandment, brooking no question, allowing no misinterpretation, allowing no prejudice or condition, no deviation because of politics, history, position of wealth, or power of any kind, IS, not was, the commandment, singularly given by Christ Jesus. Equality and equitablity of application despite circumstance, for any and all sides in opposition to any other, remains obvious intent, unshaded, uncorrupted, holding no ulterior

Praise God

PRAISE GOD Psalms 150 :1 – 150:6 1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. 2 Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. 3 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. 4 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. 5 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. 6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD. “ Peace on earth; Praise ye the Lord; praise be to God; sing praises,” these and many more phrases we have heard over the days of our Christian life. Yet there is little of either occurring. Sometimes I sing a song that I believe was written by Brother Donald Harding, II. “ Why wont my children praise me;

Where Peace Abounds

WHERE PEACE ABOUNDS As I sit this morning contemplating the state of peace which God gave me for our lesson today, the hymn comes to mind: “There will be peace in the valley some day...” I am made to wonder because God has not spoken peace to me for misguided, deceived and shifting brethren. Isaiah 59:8 The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.” If our prayers are not answered, and the peace we seek is not realized by us, it is not because God is weary of hearing prayer, but because we are weary of praying. Weary souls pray weary prayers. Our nation and world has become exceedingly sinful; sin has its consequences, exceedingly hurtful, separation from God, and thwarting their peace. Yes, a once Godly people has weakened in spirit to their own destruction. Apostates and anti-Christs have crept in with their infidel and wicked
