Delivery unto Satan

DELIVERY UNTO SATAN
First Timothy Chapter One

18 This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare; 19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck: 20 Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme. Job 1:7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
8 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?
9 Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?
10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.
11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face. Job 1:12 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.
Satan took everything Job possessed which was great in all categories. In all Job held fast to his faith; Verse 22 In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. 21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.
Again Satan spoke with God to make excuses as to why Job had not fallen away from faith in the face of Satan’s disastrous onslaught. Again God ask of Satan what he had been doing. Satan surly told of his failure with Job. 2:4-5 And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life. 5 But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face. I’m sure God smiled answering: “Job 2:3) “...and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.
Job 2:6 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.
The following chapters describe a horror account of Job’s sufferings, denial of friends and desertion of his wife. Yet, Job never lost faith and when Satan surrendered his effort to have Job reject his faith in God, God restored Job Family, friends, wealth and contentment many times over what the devil took from him. We are few in number working in Satan’s strong hold. His kingdom is of this world and we have many enemies howling at our door. God watches and in Him we trust.
Revelation 2:13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.” God told John to write of the things that pertain to us in this present church age. It is the age of the church of Philadelphia; the church of reformation.
Revelation 3:7-12 7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
Avoid Satan’s games. Know God,know peace. Amen 11-21-1920 BLL
