Effectual Calling

Ephesians Chapter One Continuing Effectual Calling 9 “Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:” There are some things that the Lord alone knows. As a man walking, He knew only what the Greater Spirit of God made known to Him. It wasn’t a matter of trust rather a superiority authority and need. However, after the cross experience Jesus became the possessor of all things and of ALL knowledge. It would be through the shed blood of Christ that he would gather the sheep home. 10 “That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:” ( Revelation 10:6 ) “ And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer: Ho

The Value of a Life/ the Values of a Life 10/20/17 Ezekiel 18:4-9 King James Version (KJV) 4  Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. 5  But if a man be just, and do that which is lawful and right, 6  And hath not eaten upon the mountains, neither hath lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither hath defiled his neighbour's wife, neither hath come near to a menstruous woman, 7  And hath not oppressed any, but hath restored to the debtor his pledge, hath spoiled none by violence, hath given his bread to the hungry, and hath covered the naked with a garment; 8  He that hath not given forth upon usury, neither hath taken any increase, that hath withdrawn his hand from iniquity, hath executed true judgment between man and man, 9  Hath walked in my statutes, and hath kept my judgments, to deal truly; he is just, he shall surely live, saith the Lord God .

Eph. 1: 2-8

Ephesians Chapter One 1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus: 2 Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5 Having predestined us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. 7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; 8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; St. Paul wrote this Epistle while he was being held prisoner up i

Yet a Little Sleep...the Wayfarer 9/7/17

Yet a Little Sleep   9/7/17 "How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep? Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man." (Proverbs 6:9-11) As  sleep continues, as the apathetic continue in apathy, as no cry for help is given to the only One who can give that help, the poverty of all morality and all that has been given by God becomes more apparent, along with the want throughout the world, brought by armed men in pursuit of the destruction of that very morality, and of the promises made by our God. "So I returned, and considered all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and behold the tears of such as were oppressed, and they had no comforter. Wherefore I praised the dead which are already dead more than the living which are alive. Yea, better is he than both they which hath no

This Do

This Do: We, as children of God are no longer our own. We have been bought with a price. We are now suited for and must serve God before all things in the life He has invested in us. It should not seem burdensome. Service to our Lord is a pleasure if we Love him. We know we love Him if we love our brothers and sisters. He said that if we loved Him we would keep His commandments. His Word is His commandments. A few will be listed here: Philippians 4:8 “ Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Don’t just let them pass through your mind ans wisp away in the fog of “doing”. These are attributes of the children of our Lord. Wehe we receive the fruit of the Holy Spirit and apply them to our interactions, we will be walking in the wi
