Eclipsed by the Son

Acts 2:16-21
King James Version (KJV)
16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: 8/22/17and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come:
21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Great hype and buildup over a period of weeks culminated in an event greatly anticipated by multitudes gathered to witness the handiwork of God, and its beauty and to show appropriate awe for that handiwork.
Many miles were traveled, by some, to be within the "path of totality" that allowed a better experience of this event.
Hotels were booked to overflow in small and large towns, at exaggerated prices costing the seekers far more than usual, just to be present for this event.
Tickets were sold to gathering places, at varying cost to view the sky from those gathering places, gladly paid for by those in attendance in order to view this event, visible across so much of a nation that it extended from one coast to the other.
Parties and reveling were common as the moment was awaited, by some in somberness at the moment and by others in the stupor of that reveling taking note only of the ability to party while the singularity of that moment passed.
Scientists gathered to learn more about the "workings of the universe" hoping for further discovery of enlightenment, for wherever that enlightenment might lead them.
Television "news coverage" devoted an entire day to that event, focusing attention away from all else of importance as there was money to be made by giving the masses a view of this event created and repeated freely by God throughout the world on a regular basis, though visible only on sparse occasion in any one spot on the globe.
The simple passing of the moon between the earth and sun created much hoopla, and tremendous accumulation of wealth for the promoters seeing a means to make profit from the masses on a gift given by God to all within range of its view.
Others chose the event to use in support of prophecy, in many forms, toward their own ends and goals, of that same profit, to be made by books, speeches and dissertation, concentrating on that event rather than on an event truly prophesied and yet to come that little to no preparation is made for, little to no acknowledgement of is made, and little to no attention is given despite the far greater importance and magnitude of an "eclipse" that will also come freely, without charge for ticket or hotel room in order to experience.
That "eclipse" is the coming of Christ Jesus, and the glory that will eclipse the entirety of the universe, demanding and receiving the attention of all humanity in all corners of a world, extinguishing the darkness of that world in its entirety, with a "path of totality" that is far from narrow, visible to all whether willing or unwilling to witness the "event" and all that it entails.
Science predicts the passage of the moon between the earth and the sun, predicts the "path of totality", predicts the duration of the eclipse, predicts the effects on tides and weather, and attempts to predict the effects on the affairs of men.
Scripture, and prophesy given by Christ Jesus, rather than the Johnny come lately looking to profit, predicts a far different path of totality, of a far different duration, and far different effect as the affairs of men take their proper place of subjection to the affairs of God, and as men take their place in subjugation to the Will of God.
While men prepare for the revelry, and awe predicted by men, few recognize the need for preparation required for both revelry and awe on a far greater scale, a revelry in the LOVE and JOY for those who make that preparation, in AWE at the means of the delivery of that eclipse that drives out the darkness once and for all along with all that is covered by that very darkness so coveted by men.
John 3:13-21
King James Version (KJV)
13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
While some revel in the darkness, disdaining the light, ignoring the importance of that light, looking only to the "events" that celebrate that darkness, the time has come to remind one and all of the coming "event" and the "path of totality" that has already been established, that may no longer be ignored as its approach draws ever nearer.
John 12:35 KJV
35Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
It is always darkest, just before the dawn, yet dawn IS coming.
The eclipse by the Son IS coming, and time for preparation IS now.
2 Corinthians 6:2
King James Version (KJV)
2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
Amen and Amen
