In God's Time
Lesson 7 of 10 Why we may be missing God’s Blessings
7. In God’s Time
2
A
time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to
pluck up that
which is
planted;
In
God’s time (a
misnomer)
the things we think we need to function satisfactorily appear very
differently.
We
often mumble, “God’s time is not our time,” without really
grasping the truth held within that concept. God resides beyond and
outside our time frames. He created time for us to measure and
determine night from day. Later it became a method of determining
months, and years of our allotted span of existence on this earth and
in this time. Outside the sphere of time as we know it
to be,
there is no running of time; there is no time. But,
occurrences
appearing in each life span is per-planned
by God. We
cannot normally,
as did
Saint John,
view
beyond our
own little man disrupted world. When Adam withdrew from God’s plan
for us it shook the universe. Decay of all things began and humans
began to want. When
they chose
to do things their way, God withdrew as their keeper. Satan
took over and added torments to their existence. He became ruler of
worldly things. Today
we clearly see what “their way”
had deteriorated
perfection to corruption. Out of the stench of sin on
earth rises
petitions to God. Seldom thanks and praises are
sent heavenward,
just wants and needs. God
is a jealous God. He holds us to himself without frills. John
saw the truth:
Rev.
4: 11
“Thou
art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou
hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were
created.”
Rev.
4:1
“After
this I looked, and, behold, a door was
opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was
as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither,
and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.”
Revelation
1:8
“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the
Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”
Revelation 1:11 John heard from heaven: “Saying, I'm Alpha and Omega, the first and the last:”
You surly observed that God did not say He was God until the end of time. Time ends for us when we enter into eternity where God resides. There is no time in the eternal. All things happen simultaneously: past, present and future are one.
We
must
believe that will
answer out plea. We must praise Him for that faith. We
may observe
that we are waiting. One can only wait in time. God is not waiting.
What he will do he has already done. We wait for his will to
intermingle with our time. We must
grow in dependence on Him, ask through Jesus faith not wavering and ask not amiss. Only then will he
hear our petition and grant us his reply.
Scripture
also tells us that God’s ways are perfect and His Word is flawless
(Psalm
18:30).
“As
for
God, his way is
perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is
a buckler to all those that trust in him.”
That
means He has
already planned the span in which our application will be processed.
It was marked before the beginning of time. God is not confused with
things in time. He has been there, he is there and he will be there
all at the same instance. The answer is on the
way as we pray.
Know
God, know peace Amen 10-22-19 BLL
