2 Corinthians 9:8

King James Version (KJV)

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

The ability of God, and the ability of man are topics that have been discussed many times in the past, and will continue to be the topic of discussion in the future as well, as the differentiation between the two continues to be blurred and obfuscated by those who hold the ability of man in higher esteem than the ability of God Himself.

Paul wrote that GOD is able to make all grace abound toward you, then continued to give reason for that abundance of grace given by HIM.

Paul's definition of sufficiency in all things never coincided with the prosperity gospel preached by so many to the detriment of that grace granted, as sufficiency for him lay within the grace itself, rather than in the physical and temporal that is the expectation of tit for tat that seems to be the expectation of those falling prey to that particular ideology.

He also wrote that that grace that abounds is adequate in all circumstance.

Philippians 4:11-13King James Version (KJV)
11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Too many forget that anything done is not completed through strength of their own, but must be completed through the faith in the strength of Christ, and what has been done by Him and may continue to be done only through Him.

Paul's emphasis within each of the epistles written was never on the physical wealth to be obtained by following the teachings and precepts of men, but were dedicated to the continuation of the message preached by Jesus Himself that there is a more important treasure to be sought than that wealth that does not follow beyond the grave, a treasure that exceeds accolades of men and extends to the accolades of GOD, a treasure that does not end in death as does physical wealth, but instead ends in LIFE beyond the death that is a requirement for each descendant of Adam.

Paul was adamant in his attempt to spread the gospel of that LIFE, to each and all willing to accept the TRUTH of that LIFE whether Jew or Gentile.

And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again.

Paul included warning with promise, as did Jesus Himself, reminding all that GOD is able to overcome the damage incurred by men, all men, IF those men come to the understanding of their inability and the Ability that resides only in Him.

As long as unbelief remains, the actions of that unbelief will continue to separate and broaden the gulf that exists between them and God.

Redemption, the granting of that grace begins with belief and repentance of the unbelief that rules the lives of those continuing to abide within the confines of their belief in men, rather than in God, and in Christ Jesus ability to bridge the gap between the two.

God Is ABLE, God is WILLING, God is WAITING for decisions that must be made by each for themselves in regard to that belief.

Matthew 21:21-22
King James Version (KJV)
21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Jesus spoke of the power of that faith as his disciples marveled because of what was, to Him, a trivial action of faith that what was asked would be granted by His
Father.

He emphasized the necessity of prayer, (asking God Himself), and equally important the requirement of belief in the ABILITY of God to respond to that request.

GOD IS ABLE!

In all circumstance, in all difficulty, in all periods of plenteousness, it is the ability of God to provide what is needed. It is the responsibility of man to seek ability that is above his own and accept the provision made by that ability and authority rather than attempt to thwart what is given and reject his own inability to provide only for the temporary while incompetent to provide for the eternal.

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Once the ability of God is accepted, once the grace given through the auspices of Christ Jesus is accepted, there is nothing that can separate us from the LOVE and the LIFE promised through Him.

Acceptance of that ability, acceptance of that grace, acceptance of that sufficiency, resides in the acceptance of the message preached by Christ  from the Jordan to the Cross.

"REPENT! For the kingdom of heaven is at hand."

GOD IS ABLE!

2 Corinthians 12:9
King James Version (KJV)
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Amen and Amen
