Effectual Calling
Ephesians
Chapter One Continuing
Effectual
Calling
9
“Having
made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good
pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:”
There
are some things that the Lord alone knows. As a man walking, He knew
only what the Greater Spirit of God made known to Him. It wasn’t a
matter of trust rather a superiority authority and need. However,
after the cross experience Jesus became the possessor of all things
and of ALL knowledge. It would be through the shed blood of Christ
that he would gather the sheep home.
10
“That in the dispensation of the fullness
of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both
which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even
in him:” (Revelation
10:6)
“And
sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and
the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that
therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that
there should be time no longer: Hod
had purified and made totally pure through the suffering of the
cross. (See) Hebrews
2:10
“For
it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things,
in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their
salvation perfect through sufferings.”
All
things were bestowed upon Jesus when He finished His work on earth
and returned to the throne room in heaven. All things belong to God.
(John
12:16)
“These
things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was
glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of
him, and that they had done these things unto him. (1
Corinthians 15:27)
- For he hath put all things under his feet. But when The Father saith all things are put under Christ, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. In the last day (day 8 if you will have it) he will untangle the mess man and spirits have made of His perfect creation and collect all in one place and time and there and then make the judgment call upon all responsible, living things.
11
“In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated
according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the
counsel of his own will:
We
were adopted into the family of Godly beings by our Father at the
moment we believed upon the payment made for our sins by Jesus.
God’s plan was that Jesus would make the final sacrifice and He
predestined all who would believe upon Christ as the way to God’s
Glory to have eternal life.
13
In whom ye also trusted,
after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation:
in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy
Spirit of promise,” The
disciples were blinded to the whole truth until they reached a point
of belief to support their wisdom. When they received the Holy Spirit
they
were set aside “sealed” by the Holy Spirit unconditionally
Children of God.
14
“Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of
the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.” This
very fact proves that we “once Gentiles” are now children of God;
if we believe. We are redeemed to bring glory unto God. That is to be
our during our time on earth. Paul thanked the apostles for holding
true to the faith and for Glorifying God always.
He prays
for the continuance of their knowledge and hope, with respect to
their
heavenly inheritance, and to God's powerful working in them. We
are to follow their example. Know God, know peace. Amen. 10-30-19 BLL
