Mark 1:3

“The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.”

Preparation is always important to the outcome of any endeavor. Whether specifically mentioned or not, preparation is constantly being touted in all aspects of life, and is in fact a necessity for all aspects of life.

One may hardly turn on the news, or entertainment channels on radio or television, or go to any social media without being bombarded by salesmen detailing the necessity for preparation for coming crisis, either financial, physical or crisis of security that may only be resolved by that preparation.

There are harangues in reference to the necessity to buy gold, silver, and precious metals to prepare for the time when the current system of currency becomes impossible to sustain... as it has so many times in the past, the need to use "financial planners" to assure a better retirement in preparation for the time that eventually comes when working is no longer an option.

Markets have been created, fortunes made time and again, at least throughout my lifetime, and if history is regarded throughout recorded time, as preparing for crisis sells so many varied and "needed" products.

Bunkers, safe places that sold so well in the early years of my life in preparation for an inconceivable, yet predestined war that could destroy humanity and civilization in the form recognized became the foremost thought in so many lives that even governments made those preparations in hope of continuance, once again are sought readily by those who can afford that means of preparation.

Civil defense shelters were stocked with medical supplies that reflected the technology and availability of the time, and are once more being stocked with a newer technology that has progressed along with the weaponry that was feared at that time to the weaponry that has replaced it, both supposedly far advanced as the century and millennium rolled over like the odometer on an aging vehicle constantly in use.

The same stocking occurred and occurs again with "unperishable" foodstuffs intended to sustain life through that certain "coming crisis".

Along with these preparations, there are also preparations made in stockpiling of still more weaponry, to defend those stockpiles from any who might survive the crisis only to become a part of that very crisis as civilization crumbles, reverting to the time of Noah when the biggest and baddest were in charge, making the rules that suited their wants as well as needs.

As the preparations continue, few ask the question most necessitated by the spiral that evokes so much fear and consternation.

Romans 8:31

“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?”

Many take the prophecy found in the scriptures IN PART as they recognize the TRUTH to be found within them, but somehow fail to take the WHOLE that precludes the necessity for preparation that can only be in vain as that prophecy is fulfilled.

² And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

⁴ And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

⁶ And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

⁸ All these are the beginning of sorrows.

⁹ Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

¹¹ And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

¹² And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

⁵⁰ The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,

⁵¹ And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Preparation DOES need to be made.

That preparation cannot and will not stave off the plan set in effect by the Creator at the beginning of time for its end, but can determine the state  in which you find yourself  at the conclusion of that predetermined and predestined time for which so many attempt to prepare physically, never realizing the need for spiritual preparation of an eternal soul that faces eternity either totally prepared or woefully unprepared because of priorities that were established by themselves for that preparation, rather than accepting the preparations made by God Himself for that time of necessity.

³¹ But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

To the prepper seeking comfort through physical preparation, I state emphatically that the time has indeed come for preparation that can provide that comfort, and quell those fears that initiate actions that cannot adequately supply what is truly needed.

No amount of physical preparation will suffice.

22 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

² In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

³ And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

⁴ And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

In closure I would remind all once more of the preparation most important to each and all, and of the necessity to prepare, first themselves, and in as much as is possible to assist in the preparations of all around them.
