The Red Horse

The Red Horse The red horse, when referenced in bible prophesy seems to always refer to the status of peace on earth. Jesus spoke of peace and no peace. He did not refer to the red horse until hHe spoke to John on the Iland of Patmos. However he spoke to prophets of old concerning the red horse. Some references are: Matthew 10: 32 ” Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.  33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.  34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.   35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.  36 And a man's foes  shall be  they of his own household.  37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of m

Star Afar

Star Afar How many times have people looked up into the night sky and wondered just how massive is the light array they see. Maybe they thought; how far away are they, how many and could we ever go there. No where inn God’s word do I find it written that the heavenly bodies visible from earth were ever meant for human kind to visit. At modern rocket speeds even Methuselah did not live long enough to reach our closest star; excluding our sun. Heaven is where God resides but there is no evidence that it is within the universe ha named heaven. Rather, I suppose all we see and know of the creation of which we are a part is held in the palm of God’s hand. Genesis 1:1”In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.(7) And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. (8) And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day. (10) And God called the dry la

Gated Community

Gated Community There was, once upon a time, a man who bought a recreational plot of land down near Memphis, Tennessee. It was a “gated community.” Only owners or approved guests could pass through the guarded gates to the property. Though it seemed secure and well protected some of the baser sorts found ways to breech the gates. The place suffered infiltration of thieves, drug dealers and shanty builders. The value and quality of life fell to nothing. Respectable plot owners began to sell at any price offered. The rotten apples spoiled the whole barrel. It lies that way today; not a heaven of rest but a battlefield of dissidents. There are other gated communities without guards at night but access is by the use of a coded card. These gates, too, allow infiltration of undesirables. However, I know of a city not made by hand who’s gates cannot be breached and nothing vile or corrupt dwells there. Jesus Christ is is the way through gate. G uardian angels keep watch at the gat

Danger

Danger An elderly farmer with long hair and beard and wearing bib overalls with one gallows broken, stood beside a narrow country road one Sunday morning. Beside him was his wife in similar attire. He held up a note scribbled on a piece of cardboard in black crayon as a car, filled with church goers, came toward them. It read: “Turn around now.” The riders laughed and shouted: “Were already saved,” and spe d up mumbling “fanatics, should be in Morning services.” Within seconds, after rounding a nearby blind curve, a loud screeching of tires and horrendous crashing sounds came back to the farmers ears. He looked at his wife and said “Maybe we should have written bridge out ahead.” Some danger signs do not clearly delineate the danger ahead nor the end results of activities of people missing the mark of sanctification and the lost. Christian workers are often prone to water down danger signs of the impending coming of Christ for His bride. They seldom mention hell or the e

Encouragement

Encouragement It seems that Contra Virus lowers its hissing head for a moment then raises it again to even greater heights. There is no wonder that people are growing ever more cautious and worried. The devil has hidden the most valuable mode of communication of love. Christian light is hidden behind a mask of protection. A smile light the day and way to those who are stressed. Words of encouragement are muffled and hard to understand from the six foot social distancing. Many are becoming recluse; leaving their abode only when necessary. The younger and stronger are carrying in supplies for the weak and elderly. Where will this pandemic end and when? Such questions draw out no real answers. It will end when God calls a halt to the devils work and when His propose is fulfilled. Be of good cheer. Our Lord has overcome the world. 1 Samuel 30:6  “ And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every m
