Holy Hands

Holy Hands

There are several practices followed in church meetings according to the dictates of the particular organization. They range from total silence and head nodding to shouting, singing and dancing. A few practice the clapping of holy hands. There is nothing amiss with the method of worship chosen if it is chosen and practiced for the glory of our Lord. Sitting silent or standing and shouting done to honor and praise God is acceptable.

1Corenthians 6:19 “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? [20] For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.”

James 1:5-8 “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all [men] liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him”

1 Timothy 2:8 “I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.”

Psalms 134:2 Lift up your hands [in] the sanctuary, and bless the LORD. Psalms 47:1 ...O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.”

1 Corinthians 14:33 “For God is not [the author] of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.”

Matthew 15:9 “Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. 7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, 8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

The problem arises not from the method of worship rather from the doctrine practiced. The Holy Word in its fullness must be followed and have no private interpretation of distortion for gains sake. If God is going to allow us to overthrow the devils poison of COVID-19, we best return to the basics.

Thessalonians 3:16 - Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord [be] with you all.

Know god, know peace. Amen. 10-17-2020 BLL
