Rejection
Rejection
Hebrews
Eight thru Twelve
8
But that which beareth thorns and briers is
rejected, and is
nigh unto cursing; whose end is
to be burned.
9
But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that
accompany salvation, though we thus speak.
10
For God is
not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have
shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and
do minister.
11
And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the
full assurance of hope unto the end:
12
That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and
patience inherit the promises.
Nothing
stoic or accusing here, just the truth plainly spoken!
“But that which beareth thorns and briers is
rejected, and is
nigh unto cursing; whose end is
to be burned.” It is this challenge of avoidance that often gain
sinners attention. Yet, is is seldom expounded in “church”
services. Fire purifies;it also destroys. It heals, disinfects, melts
metal and is not known to build, heal or male whole after
distruction. It is fire that will consume and purify the earth and
its inhabitants in the ending od all things as we know them. It is a
lake of fire that awaits those who does not accept the message of the
fire and find shelter in the Grace of our Lord Jesus.
In
hope I write that many more will seek shelter in the arms of Jesus
while he extends His nail pierced hands. The message here given is to
encourage a sincere and sure looking for the good things promised by
God Almighty. Through these promises, having love, desire, and
valuing of the truth and value of God’s words. Hope has its levels
of application, as does faith also. The promise of blessedness God
has made to believers, is from God's eternal purpose (Great plan)
decided, designed and approved between the eternal Father, Son, and
the Holy Spirit. You can rest assured that these promises of God may
be depended upon; they are carved in stone: Here we have two things
which cannot change, the counsel and the oath of God, in which it is
not possible for God to lie; it would be contrary to his nature as
well as to his will. And as He cannot lie; the destruction of the
unbeliever, and the salvation of the believer, are alike certain.
Know God, know truth. Amen 11-16-2019 BLL
