Seclusion

Three boys sat beneath a black walnut tree hulling walnuts. High above the hills and valley that secluded them from the rest of the world, an old twin engine prop, mail carrying plane hummed up their attention. They did not know any of the facts; only that it was an airplane. They were so separated from all technology that they knew only what was revealed to them within the confines of their Scott County, Va. (USA) home. With an illiterate mother and war shocked father, their opportunity to learn life situations was thoroughly restricted. Only as young adults were they afforded the opportunity to escape seclusion and began a learning process without a solid foundation to build upon.

Down through history, major time markers enlightened earth’s population of new and changing ways:

Romans 5:14 “Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.”

Matthew 1:17 “So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.”

Matthew 1:24 “Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: 25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.

Matthew 5:18 “For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Matthew 5:17 “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.”

Luke 24:44 “And he said unto them,...that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

John 1:17 “For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.” [John 10:10] “...I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

2 Thessalonians 2:5 “Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. (Holy Spirit- BL) 8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:” Know God, know peace.
