The Day

THE DAY

When the sun sets on the final day of our lives and we finish our life’s recall, what will matter most is remembering someone who came to us and said “you made a difference in my life.” As we progress through our allotted time of life, we have opportunities to make a difference, physically and spiritually, in someone’s life situation. When we see COVID-19 rampaging, we must look for opportunities to reach out. Many may be encouraged to come to God repenting as they learn of His mercies in victim’s illness. We have seen the “seven week” high and yet we hide. Seventh day rest, worship and praising god in groups is forbidden by local and federal laws and we hunker down in submission while an unknowing world passes in darkness. Arise and seek safe ways to show them the love God has for them. The day of redemption grows nigh unto all. God observed and proclaimed many seventh day closures:
2:2 “And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. 3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.(Galatians 4:10)Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. (2 Peter 3:8) But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
Psalms 90:4 “For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night” (Ecclesiastes 6:6)Yea, though he live a thousand years twice told, yet hath he seen no good: do not all go to one place?”
We toil and we strive. Some are blessed to build great wealth; some do not. If our hearts dwell upon the things and time in this present life, we have misinterpreted God’s word. Jesus gave us a parable to build our understanding. Concerning a wealthy man with more harvest than he had storage to contain.
Luke 12: 18 “And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. 19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. 20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? 21 So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”
As it was with this instructive man, so is our last day witheld from our knowledge. Our days are far spent and the seventh hour draws nigh. Let us therefore keep watch for his coming; not in idle staring into the heavens but at labor in His fields. If ever the field was ripe to harvest, it is in this day of passing death over our lands. We do not have to be shocked nor troubled. We work protected. Protected, not only by bodily attire, but by Christ our Lord who comforts us.
Matthew 28: 18 “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
Know God, know peace. Amen 05-10-2020 BLL
