Rejected

REJECTED

Our Lord Jesus Christ, God of all, has never been first in the sadness of rejection. When rejected by those He has trusted to choose His love as a guide to their love and lives, He, many times has turned away in pain and wrath. He found semi loyalty in Abram and chose him to produce a clean people. They gradually turned away. Moses rescued them with God’s directives but he also displeased God. Hand picked Kind David rejected God’s plans for him in favor of lust, lying and murder. God’s plans went on to Davids son Solomon who married outside God’s will. The Children of Israel stepped in and out the doors of righteousness so frequently that they began to be a people strange to God’s will. Jesus came to right their wrongs and to usher in a new age. They rejected Him and His teaching. He then rejected them and they crucified Our Savior.
The age of the Hebrew nation ended and the age of the gentiles began. Too many today resemble the filthy inhabitants of Sodom. Too, many have become children after the way of Noe. Having seen what God has done, we need not be surprised at calamities and pestilences that descend upon us. It is never a good thing when God turns his face away from what He cannot bare to see and walks away. In the void left behind comes troubles and trials. Consider: Polio break out, HIV, cancer, AIDS, and Twin Towers as only a few. Now we’re shocked at what The Corona Virus is doing.
1 Peter 4:12 “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:”
2 Kings 17:15 “And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that were round about them, concerning whom the LORD had charged them, that they should not do like them.”
2 Kings 17:20And the LORD rejected all the seed of Israel, and afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of spoilers, until he had cast them out of his sight.”
Luke 17:25 “But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.”
John 12:48 “He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
Know God, know peace. Amen. 05-11-2020 BLL
