Hope

HOPE

It is not uncommon in a world where true brotherly trust seldom if ever becomes an obsession that some will suffer more fear than others. There is little, if any, hope in a fear consumed person or society. Fear of the unknown and unseen may well be the most debilitating form of doubt. Doubting God’s words of promise and sulking in self pity indicates a lack of faith. Unbelief is the sin mostly easily succumbed to in a Christian’s life. When facing an unseen and not understood threat such as is COVID-19 prayerful caution is advisable. Distancing ones self from it’s potential breeding sites and lurking places is simply using good sense. Replacing the strength of faith with shivering fear is not the best approach to be taken. Approach the throne of God leaning upon His Word with boldness; unafraid. Ask faith believing and you shall receive.
Romans 12:12 “Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;”
Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
1 Peter 1:3 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,”
Romans 5:3 ...but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope: (Romans 5:2” “By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.”
Acts 24:15 “And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.”
Philippians 1:20 “According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.”
1 Thessalonians 5:8 “But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.”
1 Thessalonians 1:3 “Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ,...” (1 John 3:3)And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.”
1 Peter 3:15 “...sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
1 John 5:5 “Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
Revelation 21:7 “He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.” Know God, know peace. Amen. 05-22-2020 BLL
