Silence of Disobedience
SILENCE
OF DISOBEDIENCE
Silence
is golden, or so it has been said. When the Lord is silent with one
or many of His children, it is all but golden. The word, the will and
the way God has set for us is no secret. It has existed in all ages.
God is Love and that never changes. Ordinances, statutes and laws may
become fulfilled and void of the necessity of keeping; it was already
designed from their inception. Jesus told those concerned about his
teaching contrary to the Mosaic Law that He “came not to destroy
the law but to fulfill it.” There are supernatural laws mandated by
God they require recognition and obeying. When Gods chosen become
disobedient in any of His plan based guidelines, they won’t hear
his voice until repentance, forgiveness and cleansing is accomplished
to His satisfaction; that is by established and published guidelines.
Keeping God’s commandments amounts to living a life style that
displays LOVE in your life and great LOVE from His throne unto you.
Disobedience of any commandment is a refuting of all commandments,
even God. If God has become quite in your prayer time, check your
calendar of events and locate any shortcoming recorded there; fix it.
God looks upon the heart. Nothing is hidden from him. He leaves those
who claim a perfect relationship with Him without keeping His
commandments. In silence they may listen for His voice, seek His
counsel and repent. The length of silence equals the length of
discovery and repentance. He is quick to forgive and restore the
communication lines between the faltering child and His seat in
Heaven. He never leaves a faltering child but it is easy to fall into
the trap of unbelief set by the devil.
If
silence fails to draw our repentance, sterner measures will be taken.
The Lord chastises His children whom He loves.
Hebrews:
1
Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which
we have heard, lest at any time we should let them
slip. 2
For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every
transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;3
How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the
first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by
them that heard him;
4 God also bearing them
witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and
gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own willWe,
chosen of God, enjoy a great privilege,
we
are made partakers of Christ, that is, of the Spirit, great
Love,
graces, and life of Christ. Thus
we house a great and concentrated interest
in all Christ’s
attributes.
The same spirit with which Christians set out in the ways of God,
they should maintain unto the end; wavering
not.
Perseverance in faith and
obedience is
the best evidence of the sincerity of our Love
for the Lord and His acceptance of Us; His Love.
Hearing the word and
gaining faith leads to conversion and maintains salvation,
yet, if not hearkened to, it will expose more to the Divine wrath
when
silence has failed to produce repentance.
Our
happiness of being partakers of Christ lies
within His interaction with us in Loving peace and assurance. Unless
we keep our first love spotless so we have
complete salvation, we
need have no
fear of God's wrath and eternal misery! Knowing
this
should stir us up to persevere ourselves
in
the life of obedient faith. Let us strive
to be among
true believers who enter heaven, when all others fail because of
unbelief. As our obedience follows according to the power of our
faith, so our sins and want of care are according to the prevailing
of unbelief in us. Unbelief
is a sin producing silence and unless corrected will earn the wrath
of God. Hebrews
3: 10
Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway
err in their
heart; and they have not known my ways. 11
So
I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest. 12
Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of
unbelief, in departing from the living God.13
But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of
you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we are made
partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence
stedfast unto the end; Know
God, know peace. Amen. 03-07-2020 BLL
