THE WORLD TURNS

Genesis Chapter 1

1 “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

The Lord saith and I report: In the beginning God built Himself a universe. In the process of the speaking, He spoke into existence a dark planet called earth; world. Floating along in eternal darkness without purpose and lacking design it appears of total unimportance to celestial creations that never questioned or doubted God’s work. But, God was just beginning his project. Some point of eternity saw the beginning of an unfamiliar and paralleled apparition which God dubbed ‘time.’
In short God pulled into proper perspective all the floating space bodies and designed their purpose and course. Nothing in eternity moves or changes unless God speaks a change. As far as astrologers and astronomy have been able to penetrate the great unknown, there is always movement. Ball shapes and circles predominate the vast visible space.
When God separated he darkness of the world into be half lit and half in shadow, he called them day and night. For night He created a moon bright and shiny from the reflected light of the sun. He set the moon in motion circling the earth once in every twenty eight days and spinning around once every twenty four hours. The earth he moved into orbit around the sun and caused it to spin on its axis every twenty four hours; minus. Thus as the world turns ( once every 24+ hrs) and circles the sun, it experiences day and night while never viewing the back side of the moon. Humans of the smarter sort, have divided the globe into 360 degrees and have calculated that any spot at the equator and outward would turn through fifteen degrees in fifteen minutes; called time zones. Thus the natural movement of the earth on its axis and tilt produces seasons while its spinning creates days and nights with regard to its positioning and rotating. For the sun to appear to stand still, the earth would have to accelerate its turning. For the dial shadow to move backward the earth would have to reverse its spinning motion. Though in olden, old times, these truths were not known. How miraculous is God’s control that he can reverse even the movement of celestial bodies in the universe and start them again as they were? II Kings 20:10 “Go down - In an instant: for that motion of the sun is natural for the kind of it, though miraculous for the swiftness of it; but the other would be both ways miraculous.
2 Kings 20: 8 “And Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, What shall be the sign that the LORD will heal me, and that I shall go up into the house of the LORD the third day? 9 And Isaiah said, This sign shalt thou have of the LORD, that the LORD will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees? 10 And Hezekiah answered, It is a light thing for the shadow to go down ten degrees: nay, but let the shadow return backward ten degrees. 11 And Isaiah the prophet cried unto the LORD: and he brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down in the dial of Ahaz.”
Degrees - These degrees were lines in the dial: but whether each of these lines or degrees noted an hour, or half an hour, or a quarter of an hour, is uncertain. If it were as it is, forty-five minutes would have been lost. When the shadow moved back the sun moves forward.
Amos 8:9 “And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord GOD, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day:”
The earth turns, spins, circles without which there would be no time; in warning it jitterbugs. God holds us and our world in His mighty hand. We are safe. Know God, know peace. Amen. 03-30-2020 BLL

Remember Therefore from Whence Thou art Fallen,,the Wayfarer 3//27/13

 3//27/13 “Remember from Whence Thou art Fallen” “Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.” (Revelation 2:5) Today we touch the untouchable book of Revelation, given to us by John of Patmos, through our Savior Jesus Christ himself. This particular message is one I have given before, in places where I knew none of the congregation, and had no idea why God wouldn’t let me preach from any other scripture.  It is probably one of the most important messages for the people of today’s church to hear.
