How Many Times

HOW MANY TIMES

How many times have you heard someone say, “Just give me a little more time and I will do so and so?” Just a little more time and I’ll be finished or ready. Time is a finicky creation which knows no speed, boundaries or description. Much like the wind it, comes and goes without notice. There is a “time” everlasting but not in the age of mankind. We tend to block our days, months and lives into segments of planned activity; often without consulting God or thinking that tomorrow may never come. Times may have been good, they will become bad. God made time and segmented it into life for each of us differently. He had a plan and reason: “Ecclesiastes 3:2 “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:” 2 Timothy 3:1 “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.” Jesus came to unwrap the confusion generated around lives by Satan. He taught a few who passed it on to others down through the ages. Ephesians 5:8 “For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:” Ephesians 1: 7 ”In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; 8Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; 9Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: 10That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: 11In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: 12That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. 13In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Peter, thinking as a jew thought under the law, there were certain measurements for all things. Matthew 18:21 “Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? 22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.” Luke 17:4 “And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.”
Jesus answered questions concerning the end times. (Matthew 16:3) “And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times? What they needed to understand, as do we, God is in control of all things. It is not our concern when, where and why God does what he does. He will when He will. He is the Ia that I am. That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: 1 Timothy 4:1 “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;” Acts 1:7 “And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.” (Acts 3:19)Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; 20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: 21Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.
1 Thessalonians 5:1”But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.”
His teachings fell on ears closed of understanding. He was preparing for them to know at a later date; the cross. Rejected of the Jews, Jesus turned to the Gentiles. Who did it their way in the absence and guidance of a concenting Jesus (Acts 14:16) “Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.”
Romans 11:30 “For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief: (Jews) Acts 17:26 “And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
Acts 17:30 “And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:” Titus 1:3 “But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour; 1 Peter 1:20 “Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, Acts 3:19 “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;” Ephesians 2:3 “Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.” Luke 21:24 “And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. (1 Timothy 6:15)Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;” Know God, know peace. Amen. 03-15-2020 BLL
