Anger

ANGER / WRATH

Anger and wrath are brothers and sisters. Anger may play out in different ways even by mutating into wrath if uncontrolled. Wrath is harsher than anger and directed primarily, toward other people. In anger one might kick a stubborn flat tire whil generated wrath may result in his putting a torch to the car. There is a righteous anger spoken of in the bible; if one sins not by it. It is a dangerous condition to experience. It is written in God’s Holy Word for those experiencing anger to resolve those issues producing anger before the sun sets in the west.
Ephesians 4:31 “Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: “
There are many words used for the feeling of anger. Righteous anger is internalized. It is not acted out in violence or vengeance. Christians release anger unto the Holy Spirit before it indwells the heart and sin appears. Wrath is acting or reacting to anger externally. We as Christians are to avoid the temptation offered and dwell rather on Godly things.
Ephesians 4:31 “Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:”
Colossians 3:8 “But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
Colossians 3:21 “Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.”
Clearly we are to remain sober minded resisting anger until the time the devil ceases to tempt us with this bitter cup or until the taking out of the church and the mighty wrath of God is come.
Romans 2:5 “But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;”
Properly adorned by the full Armour of faith from God’s promises we can withstand until the rapture.
Revelation 6:16 “13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. 14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. 15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; 16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: 17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
