During
my studies at a Christian based college, never was the passion of
Christ mentioned. Nor, did all instructors profess Christ as their
savior. No mention of Christ’s sacrificial death on the cross,
resurrection from the dead or assertion ever touched upon. The
curriculum would have been better classified the ups and downs of the
historical growth of Christianity. For two years I passed many hours
in studying the historical Jesus. Other religions were also
interjected into our study sessions. When the day arrived to begin a
course entitled “Practice Preaching,” I dropped the course and
switched to “Secondary Education” as a new path to my degrees.
I
do not purposefully criticize any organization nor do Elevate myself
above what is necessary in getting God’s words, for this morning,
posted in an understandable fashion.
The
most important event in the history of human kind, even surpassing
the flood in importance, was the death burial and Resurrection from
the dead of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
No
other than Jesus, who walked the earth in His time, has perpetrated
so drastic an impact upon the past, present and future of life on
this planet.
31
And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son,
and shalt call his name JESUS.
32
He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and
the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
33
And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his
kingdom there shall be no end. 34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How
shall this be, seeing I know not a man? 35 And the angel answered and
said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of
the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing
which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
- *Matthew 1:23 “Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
- Matthew 2:1 “Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
- Matthew 2:2 ‘Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
11
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for
thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were
created.
- Matthew 1:21 “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
- Matthew 1:25 “And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.
- Matthew 2:1 “Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
15
And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it
to be so
now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he
suffered him.
16
And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the
water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the
Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
- (JESUS POT TO SHAME THE SECOND STRONGEST POWER ON EARTH:) 1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. (THEN FOR 3 YEARS HE TAUGHT A NEW WAY INTO THE THRONE ROOM OF GOD)
33
And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say,
a place of a skull,34
They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had
tasted thereof,
he would not drink. 35 And they crucified him, and parted his
garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken
by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my
vesture did they cast lots.
46
And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli,
Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou
forsaken me?50
Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the
ghost.59
And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen
cloth, 60
And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock:
and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and
departed. 66
So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and
setting a watch. 6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come,
see the place where the Lord lay. 7
And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the
dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye
see him: lo, I have told you.
18
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto
me in heaven and in earth. 19
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of
the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them
to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am
with you alway, even
unto the end of the world. Amen. Mark
6: 19
So
then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into
heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working
with them,
and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
- Year one began with the birth of Jesus. Time will end at the hand and command of Him as He rules all things. When His kingdom on earth is finished time will be no more. History suffered a warp in the right direction when Christ walked once again upon his earth. Certainly there has been no more important person ever materialized on earth. Know God, know peace. 03-09-2020 BLL
