Comfort

Comfort

Thanks be to God, Kingsport Times News and all contributors for “Words of Comfort.” We are well aware of the aspects of enjoying a state of physical ease and freedom from pain or constraint. Though seldom, since the fall, have we been totally comforted. Knowing both visible and latent feelings of discomfort among our fellow earthlings, we strive to elevate some degree of stress. We are able to accomplish this task by the easing of a person's feelings of grief or distress with "a few words of comfort" This is possible only through the partnering of the news column “Words of Comfort” and God’s chosen, contributing ministers.

Matthew 5:4Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.”

Comfort is available in this present life if we believe, ask and God permits. However for those who live the “life of Reilly” now and neglect God, there is no hope for comfort following the Death Angel.

Luke 16:25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
Jesus promised his children a means of comfort in times such as those now in existence. (John 14:18) I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” (John 14:16) “...I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;”
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”
John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:” (Satan can’t fake a comforter)
John 16:7Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

2 Corinthians 1:3 “Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; 4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.” (2 Corinthians 1:3) Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;

2 Corinthians 13:11Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace;...”
Know God, know peace. Amen 03/27/21 BLL
