Thank You Lord

THANK YOU LORD
Sitting in the doctor’s waiting room a few days back, was an eye opener. The office is located in Johnson City, Tennessee. On my last visit there, almost three months ago, only one or two of the many waiting wore masks. Some were coughing and some were children and some were the elderly most vulnerable to COVOID-19 virus. All had had their temperatures checked at check-in. Well, they had a pistol shaped device aimed at their heads and were told to have a seat and wait to be called. The wait was long. The children were restless and kicking up dust throughout the room. One man repeatedly eased in and out to expunge a mouth full of phlegm. I sat as though wrapped in concertina wire and listened to idle conversations near me. The is weather too hot today, too much rain vs. dry summer will need it. Horrible health conditions by many, broken family by some. Death, misery and storms of life were topics most often heard. Never was heard a word about God, church worship or prayers. It was as if there was no God in their hearts to bless them.
But, on this later occasion there were fewer people and all wore masks. The chairs had been place to meet criteria for social distancing and no one slid them closer. The conversation mostly centered on the corona virus with God casually thrown in now and then as the solution. No one mentioned the soon coming of our Lord for His church or the judgment of God. If any knew of God’s deliverance, they were silent concerning that truth. Too ashamed to bow their heads and pray, lift holy hands to God or speak of his coming wrath for the unbelievers, they sat mute; why?
1 Thessalonians 4:15 “For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Know God, know peace. Amen 07-16-1010 BLL
