BLESSINGS

Many times I have perched on the edge of my pew as the lyrics “Think you Lord for your blessings” was sung. My soul soared to heights unimaginable. Often I sing,”When He was on the cross I was on His mind. Looking down through time when he sanctioned our beginning, He knew the blessings that He had in store for each one of us. He breathed the first breath we took into our lungs. He did that with a purpose in mind that only He knew. COVID-19 rages out of control. Social activities is restricted. Millions affected as it looms over us. Thousands dead and others dying daily. Still some escape the virus by the will and blessings of God. Some die to a better and eternal life. Some, no doubt, as Judas and the rich man choose their pleasures in this worldly life. All were blessed. Jesus made a way. Bad choices often put us in harms way. It is not His will that any should suffer or perish. In each of our lives some rain must fall; on the just and the unjust alike. However, into His open arms the justified by faith fly for comfort and protection. We have a mighty God who is not short on His promises to us.
Genesis 2:7 “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”
Genesis 49:25 “Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:”
Proverbs 28:20 “A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.”

Deuteronomy 28:2 “And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.”
Malachi 2:2 “If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.”
Ephesians 1:3 ”Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:”
1 Corinthians 2:9 “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”
I know what things God has in store for me; things of good and not things of bad. Know God, know peace. Amen 07-12-20 BLL

  A GIVING HEART “ Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.” (1 Chronicles 29:9) Israel’s people brought gifts for the construction of the holy temple in Jerusalem, it is mentioned no less than six times in this chapter that their offerings were willing offerings.   Each Day We can only live each day in its time frame. Yesterday, with its ups and downs is passed never to return. Tomorrow is a vision of hope not yet on the horizon. Today is the day the Lord has given us. Let Each Day We can only live each day in its time frame. Yesterday, with its ups and downs is passed never to return. Tomorrow is a vision of hope not yet on the horizon. Today is the day the Lord has given us. Lets make the best soldier for Him that we can while the day passes into yesterday. Each day bares its on unique set of events. Some recognizable some masked in ignorance. As we near the dawning of a new day, calling upon the Lord is a necessary activity. If we neglect the creat o r and giver of the new day, we simply cannot have a right spirit. Joy comes in the morning only through God’s book of promises.
