(1 Peter 2:17) Honor all men (people), love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king.” Certainly, the rules being set in an attempt to curb the ever increasing incidence of COVID-19 we should honor and respect those who are researchers and caregivers to the ill. Love thy neighbor as thyself and see to their needs so much as is within the scope of your ability. Since God has the final say, respectfully fear Him. Pray for Governments and respect their power and weapons of control. Government leaders have no choice but to withhold certain benefits from those not in compliance with their dictates. Do not respect the government officials above the fear of God. The power that you look to for your life subsistence will quickly become your God.(Mat. 6:11) “Give us this day our daily bread.” We respect the wrong entity when we respect government above God. God is the maker of the government and must be respected over its power. There is no such benefit as deliverance by government absent the hand of God. (1 Samuel 8:18). “And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the LORD will not hear you in that day.”
Today, churches are closing their doors due to government mandates. Fellow Americans, rest assured the answer to the plagues that haunt us do not ride on Air Force One. No other leader in this world holds the key to salvation or deliverance from sin, disease and pandemics. Only our Lord has the final say. (Judges 8:22-23) “Then the men of Israel said unto Gideon, Rule thou over us, both thou, and thy son, and thy son's son also: for thou hast delivered us from the hand of Midian.” (23) And Gideon said unto them, I will not rule over you, neither shall my son rule over you: the LORD shall rule over you.” God has written the rules for our strongest survival. (See Colossians Chapter 3).
Today we see governments usurping authority over God’s mandates. Mandates concerning church closures and worship practices should be resisted (when possible) honoring the authority those in power. Obey all safety rules. Know God, know peace. Amen. 07-20-2020 BLL

  Each Day We can only live each day in its time frame. Yesterday, with its ups and downs is passed never to return. Tomorrow is a vision of hope not yet on the horizon. Each day bares its on unique set of events. Some recognizable some masked in ignorance. As we near the dawning of a new day, calling upon the Lord is a necessary activity. If we neglect the creat o r and giver of the new day, we simply cannot have a right spirit. Joy comes in the morning only through God’s book of promises.
