Reach Out

REACH OUT
A while back, a man we all know, lost, full of sin and dying, reached out to our lord and Savior Jesus Christ. While life in the “fast lane” had largely gone by, he leaned to his own understanding. Oh! He prayed now and again for his needs and needs of family and friends. Using God as a last resort to gain some level of duty and mental satisfaction Such prayers failed to reach the throne room; God did not hear such late sent prayers of a sinner with no faith. Today, when mysterious diseases, death and troublesome times abound, will that be our response. Before first trying every other source of help at our disposal, we should take it to the Lord in prayer. Ultimately, it is He, working through knowledge and skills of physicians or miraculously, who brings corrections and peace of mind. I do not say to avoid worldly cures; get God involved from the onset.
Luke 8:43 “And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, 44 Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched. 45 And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? 46 And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me. 47 And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately. 48 And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.
Matthew 14:35 “...when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased; 36 And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.

Luke 5:20 “And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee. 21 And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone? 22 But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts? 23 Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk?”

Hebrews 4:15 “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.”
Put our Lord first, always! Know God, know peace, Amen. 07 25-2020 BLL
