SIGNED
IN RED
IN
HONOR OF THE LATE CHARLES MCCOY...”WAYFARER”
Most
legal documents require a signature to ensure their validity and
authorship. Many authors engage in events where they display their
books for sale and, those purchased, personalize with their
signature. Often people like to boast, concerning some well known
authors books, “I have signed copies”. Somehow this claim
individualizes them as more worthy to possess the book than those
retrieving it from a moulage of books on some book store shelf. This,
I suppose, is as it should be in the world. But, we Christians, while
in the world, are not of the world; neither can we be.
Oh,
you say, God didn’t have a book signing for the Holy Book of His
words. Many would say that God did not personally sign His book.
Without His autograph, it cannot be authenticated. But, I tell you
that the Holy Bible in the inerrant, authentic and irrefutable Word
of God. Though penned by various representatives of God Almighty, it
was personalized and solidified by the bright red blood shed by Jesus
on the cross and elsewhere.
Consider
the book signing Jesus held in the Garden of Gethsemane.
Gethsemane
a
garden east of Jerusalem near the foot of the Mount of Olives. It was
the scene of Jesus's agony and also
his later betrayal.
(Mark
14). Gethsemane
literally
means “oil press,” and
is situate
on a slope of the Mount of Olives just across the Kidron Valley from
Jerusalem. A garden of ancient olive trees gave
it its name.
Jesus frequently went to Gethsemane
with
His disciples to pray (John 18:2). On
the night of His betrayal, Jesus put God’s signature in blood on
His Word. Following that book signing, Christ and Saints shed blood
that forever sealed God’s Word s the only book leading the reader
to everlasting life. Signed in red, resigned in red
and all by the extended hand of God Almighty.
- Matthew 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
- Luke 22:20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
- According to Luke, Jesus’s agonized signing was so deep that "his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground."
- Luke 22:44 “And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.”

John 1:7
-But
if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship
one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us
from all sin.
Hebrews
9:22
And
almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without
shedding of blood is no remission.” Proven
or signed in blood.
Hebrews 9:14 “How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?”
Hebrews 9:14 “How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?”
Romans
5:9
“Much
more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from
wrath through him.”

John 1:7-9
“But
if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship
one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us
from all sin.”
Revelation 12:11 “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”
Acts 20:28 “Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.”
Revelation
1:5 “...from
Jesus Christ, [who is] the faithful witness,
[and] the
first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth.
Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own
blood,”
Ephesians
1:7
“In
whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins,
according to the riches of his grace;”
Hebrews
13:12
- “Wherefore
Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood,
suffered without the gate.”
Leviticus
17:11
“For
the life of the flesh [is] in the blood: and I have given it to you
upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it [is] the
blood [that] maketh an atonement for the soul.”

Corinthians 11:24-30
“And
when he had given thanks, he brake [it], and said, Take, eat: this is
my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.”
John
6:55-59
“For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink
indeed.”
Colossians 1:20 “And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, [I say], whether [they be] things in earth, or things in heaven.”
Colossians 1:20 “And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, [I say], whether [they be] things in earth, or things in heaven.”
We
see blood drops everywhere down through history from Saints of God.
Yes, the Bible
is the most authentic
historical document in existence. There are more evidences
confirming the authenticity
of scripture
than there is to prove Caesar was emperor in Rome, or that
Washington crossed the Delaware. The Bible
has guided archaeologists to several important sites that were long
considered fables. Authentic
Christians are marked by the hope of heaven.

Colossians
1:5: “…because
of the hope laid up for you in heaven, of which you previously heard
in the word of truth,
the gospel ….”
1:1
“The
Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his
servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and
signified it
by his angel unto his servant John: 1:2
“Who
bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ,
and of all things that he saw.” 1:3
“Blessed
is
he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and
keep those things which are written therein: for the time is
at hand.”
Isaiah
35:8
“And
an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way
of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for
those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.”
Amen.
