He's Coming

HE’S COMING

Thousands of years before Jesus was born in Bethlehem, prophets told and preached the coming of a rescuer of the Jews from tyranny of Rome. “He’s coming” was the cry heard throughout the land of all civilization. He did not come in the lifetime of many and the Jewish Priests and leaders began to smirk and go their own way. We know “He’s coming” they cried but far out in a time not yet nigh. Meanwhile, we will serve Jehovah in our own way. We will submit our governing to Rome and our worship concept of the law of Moses.

Jesus came right on time just as he foretold that He would. He pressed into the scene and history in the river Jordan. Baptized by John, declared by God that he was His only begotten son. Then He was tempted of the devil and proved himself a pure vessel with strength from heaven. A few believed and followed him in His teachings. Some turned their back and scoffed.
Then the day came that dashed many hopes. Jesus announced: for a king to overthrow the Roman rule over Judea. John 16:7 “Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.” Unbelieving High priest, Pharisees and Sadducee turned their face toward the taking of the life of Jesus. This event initiated His going away. Jewish plans were finally carried out under false accusation toward Jesus. The cruelty He suffered at the hands of His chosen is unspeakable. He gave up the ghost, was burred and on the third day arose from the dead as he said He would.
When the day of Pentecost came, the disciples were gathered together with a mighty crowd. The comforter that Jesus had promised would come, came upon them all and five thousand believed upon Him as the promised messiah. Work began converting them from the defunct Judaism to Christianity; as Christ worship flourished.
There on the base of Mt. Olives, Jesus Christ bid them a temporary good bye with angels declaring unto those gazing toward heaven that He would return just as he said he would. John 14:21Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

1 Corinthians Chapter 15; 51Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal [must] put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

1 Corinthians 15:52: 50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.” Ecclesiastes 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.” 1 Thessalonians 4:16: 16 “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.1 Thessalonians ch. Chapter 4: 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 5 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.”

He’s coming just as sure as he came 2,020 years ago. We are living in the last days. We must be even stronger in winning souls and supporting one another. Hebrews 10:25 - “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some [is]; but exhorting [one another]: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. He is coming and: Revelation 21:4:“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Amen.Know God, know peace.01-13-2020 BLL
