Ephesians 2:9
6
“And
hath raised us
up together, and made us
sit together in heavenly places
in Christ Jesus: 7
That
in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace
in his
kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8
For
by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it
is
the gift of God: 9
Not
of works, lest any man should boast.” The
gift of life brought to earth the gift of love; life. Matthew
2:11 “And when they were come into the house, they saw the young
child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and
when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts;
gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.” He came to free us from the
powers of Satan. Romans
5:15 “But
not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the
offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift
by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto
many.”
The
most vivid color of Satan is sin. He is the epitome of sin inside and
out side. Resisting sin is also resisting the devil. He is a mighty
power that only the Holy Spirit standing between us as a hedge
against him will allow us to prevail. Satan is sin.
James
1:17 “Sin
bought
death while
in the garden. Sin is conceived in the
soul. If
it is allowed to indwell the heart, sin produces death. Sinners,
dead in trespasses and sins, have
no desire for spiritual pleasures or
the gifts of God. A .
Looking
upon a corpse
gives us
over to wondering.
A spirit
that cannot die moved out of the body of clay. No value to God or man
it remains just a pile of dust. A never
dying spirit fled, and nothing
of
any value left behind.
But if we viewed things aright, we should be far more affected by the
thought of a dead soul, a lost, fallen spirit. A state of sin is a
state of conformity to this world. Wicked men are slaves to Satan. .
What reason have sinners, then, to seek earnestly for that grace
which will make them, children of wrath, children of God and heirs of
glory! The grace that saves is a
free gift,
undeserved goodness and favor
of God; and he saves by
Grace through faith.
not by the works of the law, but through faith in Christ Jesus. These
things are not brought to pass by any thing done by us, therefore all
boasting is shut out. All is the free gift
of
God, and the effect of being quickened by His
Holy Spirit.
Acts
8:20 “But
Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast
thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.”
None can from Scripture abuse this doctrine, or accuse it of any
tendency to evil. All who do so, are without excuse. Sin
is impregnated death! Romans
6:23 “For
the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Sin
cannot be present in any form in God’s chosen. Matthew
5:23 “Therefore
if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy
brother hath ought against thee;
- Matthew 5:24 “Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.” Only a pure heart and mind at ease will please God with any gift.
- 1 Corinthians 12:1 “Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant. 1 Corinthians 7:7 “For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.” Look to find your utilization of your gift from God. Find your gift and use it. Thy gifts are perfect and therefore could be operated by a little child. James 1:17 “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. 2 Corinthians 9:15 ‘”Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.” Amen. Know God, know peace. 01-19-2020 BLL
