TRUST
- Isaiah 11:10 15 But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;
- 17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Romans 15: And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust
- Isaiah 11:10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek (TRUST): and his rest shall be glorious.

Matthew 12:18-21 “Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles. 19 He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets. 20 A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory. 21 And in his name shall the Gentiles trust”
We
who are not Jews are gentiles. Gentiles
of old were those people who did not belong to God’s chosen group.
They would not. Called “dogs” the were outcasts. Considered
unclean, by non Jews, they were shunned. Their time had not yet come.
The ‘TIME OF THE GENTILES” began with the establishing of the
Grace covenant for salvation which Jesus made with his appearing. The
Jews rejected Jesus and we were adopted by God to fill the void. You
can’t rejet god without ill results. Luke
21:24 “And
they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away
captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the
Gentiles, until the times
of the Gentiles be fulfilled.”
Romans
3:29 “Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the
Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:” Jesus
opened heaven’s gate to His adopted bride. Many would minister to
the Gentile people but some were specifically
chosen for that cause.
One
such chosen was Paul the Apostle who wrote: Romans
15:16 “That
I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering
the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be
acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.” The
Holy Ghost came as a comforter to those who would choose to serve
Christ as his children. Gentiles were not accustomed to being
governed as individuals. There were leaders that put out
proclamations but but every man did what seemed right in his own
eyes. Romans
2:14 “For
when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things
contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto
themselves:”
-
- There are two great forces operating in the world; (unclean Spirits and the Holy Spirit) and when unclean spirits are cast out by the Holy Spirit, in the conversion of sinners to a life of faith and obedience, the kingdom of God is come unto us. All who do not aid or rejoice in such a change are against Christ. (anti-Christs). We Christians (Christ like) trust in an all powerful comforter called the Holy Spirit, God if you will have it. He is our protector against the imps of Satan. He is our hope, joy and comforter. In Him we place our trust in all things. We may be ridiculed, cast aside or even suffer death by imp filled fellow humans. Still we trust God because all things are controlled by Him for His great plan. 1 Timothy 4:10 “For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.” Believe my friend. Our alternative plan is death of the body and soul. That does not have to be our destany. Know God, know peace. Amen. 01-23-2020 BLL
