Seeing Differently

Ecclesiastes Chapter Three (Vs. 11-15)

Seeing Differently

11 “There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after.”
12 “I the Preacher was king over Israel in Jerusalem.”
13 “And I gave my heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all things that are done under heaven: this sore travail hath God given to the sons of man to be exercised therewith.”
14 “I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit.”
15 “That which is crooked cannot be made straight: and that which is wanting cannot be numbered.”

Everything appears to us through a glass dimly. We don’t clearly see things that God made nor the way or purpose of their making. Our fleshly viewing affects the fashion in which it appears to us. We have the world so deeply rooted in our hearts and souls, that we are so taken up with thoughts and cares of worldly things, that we have neither time, will nor spirit to see God's handiwork in them. The cares of the world have not only gained possession of our heart, but also has formed barriers against the beauty of God's works. Surly, by this stage in our walk, we don’t think that we were born for ourselves. We were not! We are to do our Christian duties thus bringing Glory and praise to God the Father. We are given life so we may do good in this life, which is short and uncertain. We are given a short span of time to accomplish good works. We must redeem time for there is a date of accounting. Our hope and joy results from having faith that all things work together for good to them that love him. Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

God is all and all in all things. This so that men should stand or kneel in reverent fear before him. The world time moves on. Things happen and soon are forgotten. So it was, is and shall be until the ending of time. We cannot thus know it as God knows it. There has no change befallen us, nor has any temptation by it taken us, but such as is common to men. God has His hand in all things and never looses control. Know God, know peace. Amen 11-06-19 BLL
