Why Noe

WHY NOE

Genesis Chapter Six

Verses 8 thru 12

8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.
10 And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth.

How could Noah find favor in the eyes of of the evil world in which he stood out as a believer? The people of the world hated and persecuted him, because both by his walk of life and preaching he admonished them but he found grace in the eyes of the Lord (Vs. 8). Noah walked with God and kept His precepts. This made him more truly honorable than the earthly men of renown. Noah’s attitude was to keep the chief desire to labor that his family may be accepted of God. As the rest of the world grew disgusting, Noah kept his integrity. God's good-will towards Noah produced this good work in him. He was just; justified by faith before God. He dwelt upon God’s promises. As such he lived holy, and had right principles; and was righteous in his conversations. He was not only honest, but devout. Noah continually strove to do the God’s will as he knew it. God looks down upon those who do so with an eye of favor. Those who sincerely look up to him with an eye of faith. It is easy to be religious when religion is in fashion; but but it is religion for religion's benefits. It is more difficult to swim against the current than to drift along with the crowd and to witness for God when all others deny Him. Noah swam. All kinds of evil, lustful and disgusting sin was found among the other inhabitants of the earth. They corrupted God's design. Awful Sins fills the earth with violence and disrespect of God. This fully justified God's resolve to destroy the world. The world became totally corrupt. When wickedness is become general, ruin is not far off. While there is a remnant of praying people in a nation, to empty the measure of madness as it fills, judgments may be long withheld. However, when all hands are at work to pull down the defenses, by sin, and none stand in the gap to make up the breach, what can be expected but a flood of wrath? Know God, know peace Amen 10-04-19 BLL
