Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--"
Today's title is taken from a document much newer than the scriptures read by, believed by, and considered paramount to, those who wrote and signed a declaration that led to a War of "Independence"
That people, ancestors of a people that have since come in large part to forget the bondage that required the institution of a separation , held sacred what they stated to be, "unalienable Rights" that were given by their Creator, and inviolable by men.
They cast off that bondage, breaking its bonds with the shedding of their own blood, determined that that blood not be shed in vain, but would lead to their posterity being forever granted those unalienable rights.
Those truths stated to be self evident within that document, remain self evident, and remain unalienable, remain sacred to those who see the bondage that would quash those rights that has crept back among that posterity as the Creator of those rights is neglected and ignored among them.
This declaration was, and is a declaration of Self Determination.
That declaration of self determination, was not instituted by that document, nor did it begin with the signatures that led to the war that followed those signatures.
That same self determination was not secured only by the blood that was shed by that war, nor does it remain secured only by those who shed that blood as a people chose to be separate from those holding them in bondage.
Self determination, determination of bondage or liberty was instituted by and is secured by the Creator of that people, and all people evolving and devolving from a common ancestor that abused the privileges of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness, forgetting that only his Creator could deliver on any of those promised rights.
Life, granted that creature was traded for death, despite the warnings given, as the pursuit of bondage was chosen over the Liberty into which he had been created, and the pursuit of happiness led to the misery created by acceptance of a lie, rather than the truth delivered by that Creator within the warning of consequence made certain by action taken when wrong choice was made that attempted to refute the truth stated clearly for him by that Creator.
Those unalienable rights were reiterated throughout the sordid history of that creature's choices, with the promise repeated again and again in conjunction with the warning of consequences of those choices as the necessity for laws and governance of the societies and families of the ancestors increased in number, and as the original choice made led to further choice of obedience or disobedience, liberty or bondage.
The necessity of bloodshed to break the bonds of that bondage originally chosen increased as well, and is also documented in the history of that creature still choosing death over life, bondage over liberty and misery over the attainment of the happiness being pursued.
One of the men responsible for the writing of this venerated document chosen for the opening of todays dissertation also wrote:
The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure," Jefferson wrote in a letter to William S. Smith, a diplomatic official in London, on November 13, 1787.
The author of this quote recognized the ongoing necessity that cannot be avoided when liberty as defined by man is pursued without pursuing the original Liberty bestowed by God.
In this time wherein "liberty" and the "pursuit of happiness" is being touted so adamantly and loudly by so many, the liberty being sought is the liberty to ignore a greater liberty already granted, the happiness being pursued, remains the misery of the failure to attain the happiness and joy already delivered by that Creator through Christ Jesus.
The necessity for the blood to be shed for the delivery of, " Life, Liberty, and Happiness, (not just the pursuit thereof)" was recognized by the Creator that bestowed those very rights spoken of within the words of the opening from the document chosen today.
Unlike the statement quoted by the author of that document that required the refreshing of the tree of liberty, there is no necessity for further blood to refresh the Tree of Life, than that already shed by Christ Jesus.
So long as man chooses pursuit of false liberty, liberty to make choices that deny the power of his Creator, that blood will continue to be shed, and, unfortunately be shed in vain.
Within the opening words of the document used as basis for this dissertation, lies the concept of the necessity of a separation, if the "unalienable rights" are to be obtained.
That concept continues to hold validity as failure to separate truth from lie cannot lead to life, liberty, or allow the pursuit of true happiness, the failure to separate faith in God, and in His plans for us from faith in the institutions and concepts of men that remain as fallible as those originally chosen by Adam, lead only to the failure to attain "Life, Liberty, or Happiness."
Rather than venerating a document, without comprehension of what was documented, perhaps it is time to venerate the Author of "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness" within Whose power it remains to grant those things purported to be important, separate the Truth from the lie given Adam that necessitated the institution of such a document, and accept the WAY, TRUTH, and LIFE that provides the only security of those things spoken of within that document.
The deliverer of those things brought an even simpler message than the one delivered within that document, a message that remains paramount to its effectiveness to those venerating it:
"REPENT! For the kingdom of heaven is at hand."
It is only within that Kingdom, and through the messenger that delivered that message, that those things sought by the authors and signatories may ever be delivered to the creature purporting to seek them.
