Think

Think

 If He should come today

And find my hands so full

Of future plans, however fair,

In which my Savior has no share,

What would He say?

A shout! A trumpet note, A glorious presence in the azure sky!

A gasp, A thrill of joy, And we are with Him in the twinkling of an eye!

We moan, we groan and we complain. There simply isn’t enough time to do all the things demanded each day. These things are part of life aglow. We rush away and forget to take God where we go. We were created for the explicit purpose of serving Him.

Sometime, somewhere He will serve his bride a meal. We left the garden of ease to do things our way. That did not change God's motive for our service to Him. Toiling for self must not press Christ out of our affairs. Think what you would feel if friends and family simply forgot you existed or came only once and a while to say "hello and how are you." As we think of ourselves, so we are. Disregard is a silent evil thought. Putting God first in life's tasks is precious. Causing discord in life is stressing to God.

Proverbs 6:14 “Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord. 15 Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy. 16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:  17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, 18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, 19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.”

Philippians 4:3 “And I intreat thee also, true yoke fellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellow labourers, whose names are in the book of life. 4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. 5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. 6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Know God, know peace. 05/14.21 BLL
