The Dance

The Dance

People who frequent country music and songs sources have, no doubt, heard Garth Brooks sing “The Dance.” The song brings some sad gladness to the heart of the listener. Why do they torture themselves by mentally living the fictitious lies portrayed in lyrics designed for “beer drinking music?” Garth published a sad song called “The Dance.” (In part) Looking back on the memory of The dance we shared 'neath the stars above, For a moment all the world was right. And now I'm glad I didn't know the way it all would end; the way it all would go. Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain but I’d have had to miss the dance.”

Into every life some rain must fall.” None pick and choose how life will go but we live or die by the choices we make. Bad choices are not made totally intentionally. Satan has plans for us and entices us to dance to his tune; don’t sip from the poison of Satan’s cup! There was a time, is a time or will be a time when God offers a cup of living water which, if taken, yields eternal life. He becomes our guide, choice maker and re-warder. When we get the news that life for us has run its course, we naturally react emotionally.

Life is not better left to chance. Chance is the devils brother and he will deceive you. Dance with wolves and get bitten. The dances of this world are better left alone. It is the dance that gives the pain which can only be avoided by abstinence and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord. (Ephesians 4:23-24 “And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.)

When Satan comes knocking on your life’s door, let Jesus answer. When God calls and the Holy Spirit comes to escort past realms too dark to see into the light of Love, we lay chance aside and pick up faith. When we get the notice of death, we won’t need to “go sky diving, mountain climbing, horse back riding, go six seconds on the back of a bull named Fu Manchu. (Brooks) We have the strong arms of our heavenly Father to lean on. What we Christians do is fall onto callused knees and talk to the Father who has all answers. Chance vaporizes under the solidity of faith. Walk with God; avoid sad memories in life. He holds the future in His hands. Satan cannot touch Him. Jesus is mine. I talk and He listens intently. When sorrow comes, and it will, the Lord is only a whisper away with soothing love and reassurance. Know God, know peace. Amen. 05/06/21 BLL
