The Carpenter

Carpenter’s Son

Ronnie Bowman wrote a song entitled “Three Rusty Nails. Immediately you think, what can you build with only three rusty nails and an old dog wood tree? Given a hammer, a saw, three rusty nails and dogwood limbs, most any carpenter could construct a cross. But only the carpenter’s son could build a dynasty with such meager supplies. None other than “the carpenter’s son” could establish a line of simple people who would change the world forever. From one man called Jesus, a succession of people from the dynasty of King David established a belief in God that had never before been expressed. His blood line was not from the Carpenter Joseph. Royal blood ran through His veins as He matured under the tillage of his surrogate father. Jesus, born of the Holy Spirit to a young virgin lady called Mary, may have learned carpentry but He was certainly more than a worker of wood.

A song written by Mark Lowry working with Gaither Vocal Band titled “Mary Did You Know” expresses Christian sentiments concerning the Carpenter's son: “Mary did you know that your baby boy will calm a storm with his hand? Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod? And when your kiss your little baby, you have kissed the face of God Oh Mary did you know The blind will see, the deaf will hear, the dead will live again The lame will leap, the dumb will speak, the praises of the lamb Mary did you know that your baby boy is Lord of all creation?”

God never changes. What he has done for others, He will do for Us. In His promises is our satisfaction with life’s up and downs. When the world grieves that damnation to he human race is come, Christians wait on the Lord. He will deliver. Cheer up and wait on the Lord. He is able.

Matthew 15:29 “And Jesus...sat down there. 30 And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them:

Matthew 15:36 “And he (Jesus) took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and brake them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. 37 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets full.

38 And they that did eat were four thousand men, beside women and children.”

1 Corinthians 16:13 “Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
Ephesians 6:13 “Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
Know God, know peace. Amen. 05/06/21 BLL
