Promises

PROMISES
The promises of God are so numerous and astonishing that they are difficult to grasp. Yet, they can be all encompassed in the greatest promise for those who believe; the promise of eternal life. Sacrifices properly made in this life carry the promise both of reimbursement one hundred fold and also eternal life as a reward for obedience and faith. Jesus speaking to Peter:
Mark 10: 29 “And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, 30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time,...and in the world to come eternal life.”
This promise extends into our time:
Galatians 3:17 “...I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. (Ephesians 3:6)That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:”
Acts 2:39 “For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”
Romans 4: 23God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” (Titus1:2) In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
Acts 13:29 And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulcher. 30 But God raised him from the dead:...”
Romans 15:8 “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” (2 Peter 1:4)Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises:”
Hebrews 10:36 “...after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.”
James 1:12 “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which God hath promised to them that love him.” (Hebrews 10:23)Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)”
2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise...”
1 John 2:25 “And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.”
2 Corinthians Chapter 7:1 “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”
Revelation 22:12 “And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.”
Know God, know peace. Amen. 06-17-20 BLL
