SEVEN SPIRITS OF GOD

Revelation 4:5 “And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.”

Revelation 1:20 “The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.” (Christ the Lord)

Revelation 1:4 “John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; “

Revelation 5:6 ‘And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.”

Revelation 3:1 “And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.

We walk a tight rope stretched by our own limited understanding. We have nothing to compare the magnitude and magnificence of “GOD.” The very essence of Him is diminished when we refer to Him as “King of Kings and Lord of Lords.” YES, He is all those things and will appear as that in the fulfilling of His promise to Abraham. The “Seven spirits of God” came this morning to a mind incapable of comprehending the thousands of concepts incorporated in this Godly simple statement made to John. “Ten thousand times then thousand and thousands of thousands of angels” appeared before the God opened eyes of Brother John. “WOW,” heaven isn’t that big; you say. True New Jerusalem isn’t that big. But then it is just a cluster of mansions in the spectrum of heaven. How large are angels? How many will fit in a tea cup or how many would it take to fill the good old USA. All I can say is that here is a sufficient number to accommodate God in His strategy. Should there be any shortage (impossible) but they were before they were. God has no limitations. “After life! WOW!””

Considering the message before us in Gods will, have a look at what we know from its passages. Lightnings and voices came from the throne; the awful declarations God promises to his bride, “the church.” relative to failure in completion of his sovereign will and pleasure in their time. For seven churches there are seven times that follow one another. They are represented by names given churches following the final Grace covenant. From Christ unto now we have finished six periods and are into the seventh and final era. This is the lukewarm church period and it is obviously so. It is the last period in the age of the Gentiles. It is called “the Church of Laodicia.

Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne; the gifts, graces, and operations of the special seven Spirits of God in the churches of Christ, dispensed according to the will and pleasure of Him who sits upon the throne.

In the Christian based church, the laver for purification is the sacrificial blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, which cleanses from all sin. In this all must be washed, to be admitted into the gracious presence of God on earth, and his glorious presence in heaven.

The apostle saw four living creatures, between the throne and the circle of the elders, standing between God and the people. These seem to signify the true ministers of the gospel, because of their place between God and the people. This also is shown by the description given, denoting wisdom, courage, diligence, and discretion, and the affections by which they mount up toward heaven.

JUST FOR THOUGHT: Matthew 12:45 “Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.”
