Peace of Mind
PEACE
OF MIND
2
Corinthians 13:11
- “Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.”
-
- How do we find peace when there’s no peace to be found? This question is ask many times of those suffering a tragedy of life. Even those who are confused, in despair and have no peace seek to find peace. Many are looking in the wrong places through eyes blinded by worldly methods. Temporal at best and totally insufficient in revealing and producing peace of mind, solutions of this world are tools for the devil. When sorrow comes by death of someone or something precious and brings debilitating grief, there is but one source to peace of mind; “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” (Isaiah 26:3) Jesus is the one and only source of perfect and eternal peace of mind.
-
- We are to earnestly pray to God for those we attempt to console, that they may find peace of mind, and know Him in the free pardon of sin. If they know Him, they have already consulted with him and simply needs a boost of faith. That is our part in bringing peace of mind to a grieving heart. Loving support, words of peace from our Lord and comradeship. For those who do not know God, we take them to the one who brings peace of mind. “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” (Isaiah 26:3)
-
- We should be glad for others to be strong in the grace of Christ and at peace in their mind. Grievous things will come to the ‘good’ and the ‘bad’ with equal trauma. Satan's worshipers have a far away and non caring pseudo-God who loves their suffering and keeps them in darkness. He gives them remedies that kill the mind and soul. Still the suffering goes on. Our Lord Jesus Christ, on the other side of the coin, is the one who can...do all things. In Him there is no darkness. We take them to the one who can., though it may be the means of showing our own weakness. Let us always pray that we may be enabled to make a proper use of all our talents.

- God is the Author of peace and Lover to us all. He hath loved us forever with a love that will never fail. He is willing to be at peace with us so that we can have peace of mind; and aid others. Peace of mind allows us to walk so that separation from our friends may be only for a time, and that we may meet in that happy world where parting will be unknown. Trials and troubles always will face the living. So live that when thy summons comes there will be peace of mind. As we live in His Spirit, He shields with His peace. (John 14:27) “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
-
- (Romans 12:16) “Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.” We must continue to examine ourselves to make sure we are in the faith. We need to compare our words and actions with God's standards sat out in the Bible and see whether we measure up. The Father out of his free love has purposed; and the Holy Ghost applies and bestows. Amen. Know the Holy Ghost God, know peace of mind. 12-18-2019 BLL
