Fire and Water

WATER AND FIRE
Numbers 31:23

Every thing that may abide the fire, ye shall make it go through the fire, and it shall be clean: nevertheless it shall be purified with the water of separation: and all that abideth not the fire ye shall make go through the water.

Many people waver in their judgment, and varies in their worshiping. Elijah called upon all to determine whether God or Satan worshipers was the self-existent, supreme God, the Creator, Governor, and Judge of the world. He commanded that we follow God only. It is dangerous to halt between the service of God and the service of sin. We can’t serve Christ and live out our lusts. Jesus is the only Savior, let us cleave to him alone for every thing. The Bible is the world of God, let us reverence and receive the whole of it. We must submit our understanding to the Divine teaching it contains. The God that answers by fire and gives us our sword; he is the only God. Our God requires that we mortify our lusts and corruptions but bodily penances and rituals are of no pleasure to him. God glorifies even in a few words uttered in assured faith and with fervent affection for his glory. We please Him when we love the souls of men, or thirsting after the Lord's image and his blessings. He assures us that form the effectual, fervent prayer of the righteous man avails much. Blessed are they that have not seen what the miraculous hands of God in display, yet have believed, and have been wrought upon by it, more than they that saw it.

James 3:6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

1 John 5:6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.

I Kings 18:35 And the water ran round about the altar; and he filled the trench also with water. 36And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word. 37Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the LORD God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again. 38Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.

Acts 2:3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

Revelation 20:10 - And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet [are], and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Revelation 20:15 - And whosoever was not found written in the book
of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Matthew 25:41 - Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Revelation 20:14 - And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

John 4:14 - But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

John 7:38 - He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Revelation 21:6 - And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
Revelation 22:17 - And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Revelation 22:1 - And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

Isaiah 12:3 - Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

We live to serve God and He blesses us far beyond what can be described by us. But if we know him we have an eternal good life. Know God, know peace. Amen. 12-01-2019 BLL
