Accountability

3/3/18
Ezekiel 18:20 KJV
- The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
Accountability is a word heard often in the context of the happenings of men, yet, seemingly, a word that is defined only in its application to others when outrage after outrage is publicized and never to be applied to the individual demanding that accountability.
It is used to besmirch reputation, extract vengeance, proclaim guilt, whether in existence or not, as justification is sought by those demanding that accountability of any or all but themselves.
There is, however and accountability that may not be escaped, may not be diverted to someone else, may not be obfuscated with excuse after excuse as to intent or lack of intent as result is held accountable.
- So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
- I the LORD search the heart, [I] try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, [and] according to the fruit of his doings.
The heart that will be searched should be the heart being searched by each in accordance with the knowledge of the fact that he is in fact accountable.
Society has attempted to remove the necessity for that search, replacing it with pseudo truths providing ever more pseudo justification that demands no accountability from self, but would rather, deny accountability through that "justification" based on the accountability of any and all EXCEPT the individual justifying himself.
Repentance is not given, but ignored as justification is substituted before men, something unacceptable when facing the ultimate accountability that occurs for each as excuses no longer cover accountability.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
King James Version (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
Jesus came to provide justification before God for the few willing to accept the accountability that accompanies that justification....redemption for repentance.
His sacrificial crucifixion, death, and resurrection to LIFE was not to erase accountability, but to assure that accountability, accepted as assured, as the pardon for that accountability is offered when repentance IS given...when acceptance of that accountability is established in the soul and heart of those believing in HIS ability to become accountable for those giving that repentance.
When the demand for accountability is shouted by the masses, when that demand is repeated in reference to the necessity of penalty for those accountable...that same demand for accountability must be given by each for themselves as they face the mirror, rather than "justification" denying that accountability.
Ultimate penalty is not extracted by man, but assuredly WILL be by God, whether man holds himself accountable or not.
Revelation 22:10-13
King James Version (KJV)
10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.
11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
The time approaches ever more rapidly when true accountability must and shall be given by each and ALL.
God's Love for man demands that accountability, and will NOT be denied.
No justification other than that given by Christ Jesus will be acceptable...no platitudes used in that justification may stand, no teachings that promote redemption without the demand for repentance may stand...no prosperity gospel will suffice... ONLY the gospel of Christ Jesus accepted and followed willingly, that includes His message of Love and His message of warning as well... a warning of accountability!
2 Timothy 1:12 KJV
12For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
Amen and Amen
