Darkness

DARKNESS

Don’t be deceived. Nothing done in the darkness or the light is hidden from God nor are those trespassing in darkness shielded from His wrath. Often we have heard that God deals in light and avoids darkness. While there is no darkness within Him, He walks among those in darkness, dwells in darkness and rides on clouds of darkness. He is not a God of the mountain top or the valley low. He is not confined to the day ot the night. God is God of all all and controls all.

1 John 1:5 “This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. (Job 34:22) “There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.

Genesis1:1 “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.”

There is a darkness that we realize at night after the sun goeth down. There in another darkens that separates humankind from God. (Psalms 139:12) “Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

Exodus 20:19 And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die. 20 And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not. 21 And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.

We remember king David gathered materials for a temple and a house for God. King Solomon built the temple after David’s passing. God examined it and found it suitable in form and spirit. He declared unto David that He would dwell there as long as Israel remained loyal and worshiped Him. It was to God and Israel a Holy place.

1 St. Kings 8 “And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the LORD, 11 So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD. 12 Then spake Solomon, The LORD said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.

Psalms 18:9 “He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet. Psalms 18:11 ”He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.”

Proverbs 2:13 “Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;

Proverbs 4:19 “The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble. “

Psalms 97:2 “Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne.”

John 12:46 “I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.”

John 8:12 “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”

Romans 13:12 “The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

Ephesians 5:8 “For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

Ephesians 5:11 “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”

The night is near spent. The rapture is close at hand. There’s no time to “dilly-dally” around playing church. Rise up and walk in the light that God has implanted in you and me. Know God, know peace. Amen. 12-23-2019 BLL
