Grace Came in When I Went Out

GRACE CAME IN WHEN I WENT OUT
(one)

On the road to Damascus a certain man named Saul was eagerly in pursuit of children of God. He road high and proud in his robe of authority. Suddenly a dazzling of light knocked him from his steed onto the dusty sand of the Damascus Road. It was not the light that all witnessed but the Grace of God that lowered him to a place where he could listen in earnest. Saul ask of the source of this traumatic happening and was answered; only he heard the reply.

Acts 26:14 “And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.”

Jesus may be referred to in an assortment of ways. Often we have to study to discover His face. After this Saul’s conversion God sir named him Paul. That is how we have grown to know and love him. God eventually gives new names to all those that He claims. When Paul gives Grace credit for saving his soul from torment, he is referring to Jesus to whom he spoke at conversion.

Grace is the essence of the gospel (Acts 20:24). Grace gives us victory over sin (James 4:6). Grace gives us “eternal encouragement and good hope” (2 Thessalonians 2:16). Paul repeatedly identified grace as the basis of his calling as an apostle (Romans 15:15; 1 Corinthians 3:10; Ephesians 3:2, 7).

If we substitute Jesus, God or the Holy Spirit everywhere Grace is listed above in these few verses, of many in His word, would the meaning change? Consider what part Grace plays in our life. Whatever part God plays, what ever part Jesus plays, what ever part the Word Plays and what ever part Love plays Grace plays also.

18 "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

Near His departure, this same Jesus also spoke:

John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
John 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.”

Both could not inhabit the world with separate entities at the same time. Therefore the comforter that God sent was the Holy Ghost, Spirit of Truth, Grace, and Love bundled into one. Jesus personified went to combine, reunite, with God and ensure creation holds together Meanwhile Grace came as the Holy Ghost to indwell those who would answer His call and accept His offer of eternal life. “The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.” Know God, know truth. 11-12-2019 BLL

John 1:16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. John 1:14
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

John 1:17
For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Acts 4:33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
