Beauty

Beauty

There is a world of splendor outside the window glass. Total failure of ones immune system and cancer related weaknesses also add to the desire for stillness and the observing of beauty; “Everything is beautiful in its own way.” Colorful birds flit here and there seeking meager winter rations. They war for the morsels discovered. Feeders, strategically place, offer an ongoing show of animal behavior. Squirrels swing by hind feet high up in the Box Elders chewing branches loaded with seed pods. Branch in mouth, they find a fork and there hull out their prize. Corona isolation has benefits. It allows time to study the beauty of God’s creation. All about Bobcats, bear, deer, turkey and smaller critters appear as they dare amid the yelping of dogs. We must ask: did God make such beauty for our enjoyment or His own? Most likely both, I suppose. But, He has prepared a place for us whose beauty outshines the beauty of holiness. He is the light and beauty thereof.

Psalms 50:2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.”

Isaiah 53:1 “...to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? 2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. (5) But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”

1 Chronicles 16:29 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name:...worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.”

2 Chronicles 20:21 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness,...”
Psalms 90:17 And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us:...” [Psalms 27:4] One thing have I desired of the LORD,...to behold the beauty of the LORD,...”
John 3:1 “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 2 Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. 3 All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.”
Know God, know peace. Amen. 12/17/20 BLL
